Rwanda and Ethiopia enjoy very good relations. Existing Cooperation is in several areas which include among others the following sectors: Defense, Police, Trade, Air Services, Capacity building, Agriculture, Education, Health, Culture and Tourism, Correctional Services, Extradition Treaty, Mutual Legal Assistance, Women & Children, Communication, Information and Media and on multilateral areas. Vision, Mission, and Mandate
The Rwandan Embassy in Addis Ababa covers Ethiopia, Djibouti, the African Union, and the UN Economic Commission for Africa as its jurisdiction. In addition, the embassy cooperates with a few embassies accredited to Rwanda that are resident in Addis Ababa that include New Zealand, Portugal, Georgia, Djibouti, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho. The Embassy's main mission is to strengthen Rwanda’s international positioning in the AU and UNECA and to facilitate the creation of wealth through more efficient cooperation for development, promotion of investments, tourism, and expansion of the market for made in Rwanda products in Ethiopia and Djibouti.
